Exploring Seattle + Vancouver - Baby's First Adventure
An adventure to Seattle and Vancouver, breathing life in to August's first week of existence.
I met my best friend Evan while studying Human Services and International Affairs at Northeastern University. This tall, gangly, hip and fresh boy walked into my life and made it 800x better, when it was seeming to be falling apart. All that to say, he now is an ocean away, but for a summer his sweet little brit hubby, Kyle, was in the US to study. Kyle and I planned an end of summer getaway to Seattle + Vancouver, to explore and refresh. This week also happened to be the first week of my pregnancy with August. Sounds to me like this makes August a born adventurer! This week marks August's 9th month out of the womb, the same amount of time he spent in - so I am finally showing off this journey to you all.
I am obsessed with Vancouver after this journey. I had no idea what beauty was in this little rainforest pocket of the world. Photos are the best way to express what joy this place brought. Kyle, I am so grateful for you, and all of the energy you put into planning this trip with me <3

Naturally we went to visit Pike Place, and the very first Starbucks - no we didn't wait in line, we went to one a block away.
Kyle the brit, hanging out at the Crumpet Shop :)
EEEEP the Chihuly Museum in Seattle! So amazing!
Walked miles in my TOMS around Golden Gardens Park, and my feet were feeling goood.
Such cute and interesting little houses on Vashon Island.

We found a Becky!! She lives in Vancouver and joined us for this leg of our journey. Besides being superrrr fun to hang with, she is an amazing tour guide!
First meal in Vancouver at Meet on Main - DELISH, especially if you are vegan.
This was pretty awesome - pricey, but we were able to check out the rainforest via Capilano Suspension Bridge Park.
Thank you for checking out our adventures in Seattle + Vancouver, I hope you go visit these gorgeous cities! Both are unique and have their own fantastic vibe - I for sure need to go back and explore some more. Looking for some more travel inspiration? Check out my post from previous adventures here :)
