Caitlin + Matt | Colorful Fall Engagement |Black Cat Alley + Oak Leaf Trail, Milwaukee WI
I LOVE keeping it in the family! I had the honor of 2nd shooting Caitlin’s sister Molly’s wedding years ago with Dawn Silva (my twin - not really, but really). I was so psyched to hear from Caitlin just after her and Matt were engaged. We met up to chat about their day and I was swept away, in my opinion we meshed and I was there for it.
Planning their engagement was awesome. They knew they wanted the city feel with some nature going on. We started at Black Cat Alley which, I’m ashamed to say, it was my first time hanging in this cool space since moving to Milwaukee 5 years ago, and I can walk here from my house. They live right near here and it is a block from Jan Ser, their wedding venue, so it seemed appropriate to celebrate the East Side as part of their session! We embraced those colors and cloudy evening tones, Caitlin + Matt showing up looking as on/beyond trend as ever!
With an outfit change and a short drive we headed over to one of my fav Milwaukee areas. Given the weather and the misty vibe an unintentional moodiness took over the session - I WAS INTO IT. Caitlin and Matt embraced it but still had so much fun with each other and the crunchy colors we found. It is always so awesome that I get to hang with amazing people in such an intimate space. Im beyond looking forward to their fall Milwaukee wedding!
Toes are frozen but we dance on the Milwaukee skyline with the Milwaukee Art Museum to accompany us. This fun loving engagement session might change your mind about winter photography sessions.
